Dubstep

A genre of electronic dance music that originated in the UK in the early 2000s, dubstep features heavy basslines, syncopated rhythms, and chopped-up vocal samples. Dubstep tracks often incorporate elements of other genres, such as hip hop, reggae, and dub. The genre gained popularity in the late 2000s and has since evolved into several subgenres, including brostep and future garage.
