Tanzorchester

Tanzorchester, or Tanzanian orchestra music, is a genre that emerged in the early 20th century when European-style orchestras were introduced to Tanzania. Tanzanian musicians began to incorporate local rhythms and melodies into their performances, creating a unique sound that blended Western and African musical traditions. Tanzorchester has remained popular in Tanzania and has influenced other genres such as taarab and bongo flava.
