It blends elements of [samba](/genre/samba), [bossa nova](/genre/bossa-nova), and [jazz](/genre/jazz), and often features socially conscious lyrics. Some of the most famous MPB artists include Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Chico Buarque.
