A fusion of neo-psychedelia and proto-punk, characterized by raw, garage-band energy, psychedelic textures, and a DIY ethos. Neo-proto bands often draw inspiration from 1960s psych rock and 1970s punk, but also incorporate elements of post-punk, grunge, and alternative rock into their sound.
