Rock Brasiliense

A subgenre of Brazilian rock that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s in the capital city of Brasília. It is characterized by a raw, energetic sound, with lyrics that often deal with urban life and the struggles of young people in Brazil. Many of the bands associated with rock brasiliense were part of a broader cultural movement known as the "Candango Generation."
