J-metal

J-metal, short for Japanese metal, is a genre of heavy metal music that originated in Japan in the 1980s. It is characterized by its fast-paced, aggressive sound, as well as its emphasis on technical skill and virtuosity. J-metal bands often incorporate elements of traditional Japanese music into their sound, such as taiko drums and shamisen, creating a unique fusion of East and West. J-metal has a dedicated fanbase both in Japan and around the world.
